Education Support Program
Supporting the future of children by constructing safe learning spaces and providing essential school supplies to ensure education never stops.
In the context of the ongoing revolution, armed conflict, and the impact of the 2021 military coup, education systems in many areas have been severely disrupted. Children in displacement settings are at significant risk of losing access to learning opportunities.
Clean Yangon recognizes that education is a fundamental pillar of long-term social development and prioritizes ensuring that displaced children continue to have access to education.
What We Have Done
- Supported the establishment of community-led schools in displacement areas in collaboration with local organizations.
- Provided books, stationery, and essential learning materials.
- Supported school-related expenses for children.
- Constructed temporary learning spaces.
- Created safer and more supportive learning environments for children.
Impact
- Constructed a total of 51 school buildings in Karenni State.
- Provided over MMK 900 million in funding support to 21 schools during the 2025β2026 academic year.
- Distributed textbooks worth over MMK 1.8 billion in collaboration with IEC education networks.
Ongoing Work
Clean Yangon continues to support education across multiple regions, including Karenni State and central Myanmar, through school construction, learning support, and distribution of educational resources.
