Nutrition & Community Feeding Program

Combating malnutrition by organizing systematic community kitchens and providing nutrient-rich meals to children and vulnerable mothers.

Nutrition & Community Feeding Program

Since establishing a presence in Karenni State in 2021, Clean Yangon has remained closely connected with displaced communities, providing consistent food and nutritional support.

In the context of the ongoing revolution, armed conflict, and displacement, access to sufficient and nutritious food has become increasingly limited, making food support a critical need.

What We Have Done

  • Delivered daily community feeding support in displacement camps across Karenni State.
  • Sustained food distribution efforts for over 60 months (approximately 1,800 days).
  • Provided protein-based meals to communities that otherwise rely on basic or limited food sources.
  • Coordinated support from both local and international donors to ensure continuous distribution.

Impact

Food support has not only addressed immediate hunger but has also contributed to improved nutritional intake for vulnerable communities, emotional and psychological comfort particularly among children, and increased physical and mental well-being.

For many families, even a single nutritious meal provides both sustenance and a sense of care and dignity.

Ongoing Work

Clean Yangon continues to provide consistent food and nutrition support to displaced communities, adapting its response based on evolving needs and available resources.

Our Perspective

Even in times of conflict and uncertainty, access to food remains one of the most fundamental human needs. Supporting this need is essential to sustaining communities and preserving dignity.
